About Kathleen

Kathleen Pendleton is a seasoned event planner and creative visionary with over a decade of experience in crafting exceptional experiences for non-profit organizations, cultural institutions, and educational communities. Kathleen's journey into event planning began with her role in Colleges Against Cancer at Northeastern University, where she spearheaded events such as the Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch and the acclaimed Relay for Life, earning national recognition as the American Cancer Society's "Rookie Event of the Year."

Kathleen’s talent for creating meaningful, memorable events flourished during her time at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, where she helped produce signature occasions, including the Bernstein Centennial Gala, one of Tanglewood’s highest-grossing fundraisers. Her attention to detail and ability to execute events of all scales was also evident in orchestrating the opening weekend of the Linde Center for Music and Learning, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, media engagement, and intimate dinners for major donors. She also managed distinguished events like Leipzig Week in Boston and a National Endowment for the Arts luncheon, creating high-impact moments for a diverse audience of arts patrons.

A thought leader in the transition to digital event spaces, Kathleen played an integral role in establishing online events during her time at the Associates of the Boston Public Library. Her work on virtual programs like the 100 Year Retroactive Book Award and the Literary SpotLights series demonstrated her forward-thinking approach to engagement in an ever-evolving landscape.

Currently serving as the Development Events Manager at Milton Academy, Kathleen designs and leads a broad spectrum of in-person and virtual events that strengthen the Milton community. From orchestrating the annual Reunion, which welcomes over 500 alumni back to campus, to coordinating regional gatherings in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, as well as international events in Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai. Her events foster connection and lasting impact. Kathleen also champions virtual professional development for young alumni, helping them navigate career milestones through workshops on topics such as networking and postgraduate education.

Kathleen’s event philosophy is rooted in thoughtful creativity, strategic planning, and an unwavering commitment to delivering extraordinary experiences. Whether coordinating large-scale galas or intimate dinners, she tailors every detail to align with her client’s vision and goals, ensuring that each event leaves a lasting impression.
